2:30 AM, Monday morning

When you are up at 2:30 in the morning, with the low, dull sound of the television in the background, with the stress of a new week stalking you and keeping you awake, is there anywhere to hide?

Jesus said 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. * 22* As for what was sown among thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the delight in riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; he indeed bears fruit, and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty." (Matthew 13)

2:30 in the morning is a hard time to be a Christian. This is when every mistake you ever made, every sin you ever committed and every pain you ever caused due to your blindness comes home and troubles your soul. Longing for a do-over that will never come, you prepare to face the day, with no one to lean on.

No one except the only one you can really lean on........
