*BEST OF DTB #37* The Catholic Defender: The Rosary, A Powerful Weapon

The Rosary is a very powerful weapon, a tool that the Lord shows his Love to us.

Sadly, I was raised around having rosaries in the area. You could probably find one in a drawer, Mom had one on her desk, but we never prayed it together as a family.

My Mother was a convert to the Catholic Faith and I was Baptized at the age of 4 years old. I remember my Mother getting me a green rosary that glowed in the dark.

That hung around for years and I wish I had it today. My devotion with the rosary developed as a process.
I was 22 years old when I embraced the Catholic Faith after about 3 years of not practicing.

College for me was at a Protestant "Non-denominational" background. That is where I had my baseball scholarship. My senior year I began you pray the "Scriptural Rosary" from time to time.

How I really took up the rosary is a bit unorthodox, but it really helped me grow in my faith tremendously. I worked at a Warehouse for about 5 year after I got out of college.

During that time, I worked in the Receiving Department where I was used to take up a hand jack and pick up pallets to haul back to unload trucks.

We had forklifts to place the loaded merchandise in the racks that would go as high as 5 maybe six tiers high. This was a huge plant, thousands and thousands of square feet.

A normal day I could bring in a thousand pallets and walk 30 miles. That was no joke.

I was so good at this, the organization didn't want me doing anything else because through what I did, it kept the whole show running.

I remember tossing up pallets 20 high on that hand jack before I would take the long walk back to receiving.

Because so much of the time I was out on my own I would greet and meet people all over the place all day long, yet I was mostly on my own. I began using the Rosary in a very powerful way.

I began praying the Rosary daily dedicating each decade in segments throughout the day.
I would begin the first decade when I started work at 07:30 until 09:00 when we took our first break. When I was out in the warehouse, I would dedicate that time block for the first mystery.

After the ten minute break I would begin the second mystery between 09:10 till 10:30.

I would dedicate the third mystery from 10:40 until lunch at 12:00.
At 12:30 I began the fourth mystery until 14:00.

Then I would finish the Rosary with the fifth mystery from 14:10 to 15:30.

Through this reflection through out the day, I could tell that my faith was growing leaps and bounds.

My walk with Christ was really literal for me. This helped me understand Mary as well.

To put it simply, this solidified my faith. My days were never boring as I would have countless opportunities to discuss and debate the issues of the day.

I remember one particular lady that I would come to know. She had made the comment to me that the Catholic Church was headed by the Mafia.

I responded that the Protestants were headed by the Klue Klux Klan (KKK) thinking that if you can be off the charts so can I.

As it turned out, this lady was the wife of the "Grand Dragon, the head Chaplain of the KKK (nationally).

That was wild. She didn't appreciate my response. Because she supervised an area of stocking merchandise on the floor, I would see her quite often.

There is a place in the town where I lived that the KKK have what I called a "bat cave" underground where they had tiers of books and pamphlets promoting the "Arian Race" and Hitler. I was flabbergasted at this.

This is why it took along time before Catholics to begin moving into the area.

There was a definite anti-Catholic feel to the place because of the Tony Alamo revivals and the like that would come from time to time.

At the warehouse that I worked, I made friends with a lot of folks, but not on religion.

The Rosary helped kept me focused throughout my day.

Since I have been praying the Rosary, I have seen healing, I have seen answers to prayers, I have seen conversion.

I've seen this in my own life. The Rosary has been a tool in many ways, I would give the Lord praise for protection in car accidents, vehicles damaged by IED's in Iraq.

For me, the Rosary was like an anchor when I was hanging on by a scarlet thread.
I understand that it is a devotion, but Heaven made it part of the peace program of heaven.

I encourage anyone and everyone to pray it for the conversion of sinners and for dedicating it for your intentions.

The following is taken from ourladyswarrior.org:

Besides the Indulgences attached to the Rosary, Our Lady revealed to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche additional benefits for those who devoutly pray the Rosary.

Our Lady's promise is shown in darker blue text. Additional explanation on and doctrinal connections to each promise is shown following in the smaller normal text font and color.

Note that the Rosary is the prayer (non-Liturgical) with the most published Magisterial / Papal documents expounding on its excellence. Vatican II's summary on Our Lady is contained in Lumen Gentium chapter VIII.

1. Whosoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
Signal Graces are those special and unique Graces to help sanctify us in our state in life. See the remaining promises for an explanation for which these will consist. St. Louis de Montfort states emphatically that the best and fastest way to union with Our Lord is via Our Lady [True Devotion to Mary, chapter four].

2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
Our Lady is our Advocate and the channel of all God's Grace to us. Our Lady is simply highlighting that She will watch especially over us who pray the Rosary. (see Lumen Gentium chapter VIII - Our Lady #62) [a great more detail is available on this topic in True Devotion to Mary, chapter four, by St. Louis de Montfort]

3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.
This promise, along with the next, is simply the reminder on how fervent prayer will help us all grow in holiness by avoiding sin, especially a prayer with the excellence of the Rosary. An increase in holiness necessarily requires a reduction in sin, vice, and doctrinal errors (heresies). If only the Modernists could be convinced to pray the Rosary! (see Lumen Gentium chapter V - The Call to Holiness #42) St. Louis de Montfort states "Since Mary alone crushed all heresies, as we are told by the Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary)..." [True Devotion to Mary #167]

4. It will cause good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for Eternal Things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
This promise, along with the previous, is the positive part, that being to live in virtue. Becoming holy is not only avoiding sin, but also growing in virtue. (see Lumen Gentium chapter V - The Call to Holiness #42)

5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
Since Our Lady is our Mother and Advocate, She always assists those who call on Her implicitly by praying the Rosary. The Church reminds us of this in the Memorare prayer, "... never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided ..."

6. Whosoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of Eternal Life.
This promise highlights the magnitude of Graces that the Rosary brings to whomever prays it. One will draw down God's Mercy rather than His Justice and will have a final chance to repent (see promise #7). One will not be conquered by misfortune means that Our Lady will obtain for the person sufficient Graces to handle said misfortune (i.e. carry the Crosses allowed by God) without falling into despair. As Sacred Scripture tells us, "For my yoke is sweet and my burden light." (Matthew 11:30)

7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
This promise highlights the benefits of obtaining the most possible Graces at the hour of death via the Sacraments of Confession, Eucharist, and Extreme Unction (Anointing of the Sick). Being properly disposed while receiving these Sacraments near death ensures one's salvation (although perhaps with a detour through Purgatory) since a final repentance is possible.

8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the Light of God and the plenitude of His Graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the Merits of the Saints in Paradise.
Our Lady highlights the great quantity of Graces obtain through praying the Rosary, which assist us during life and at the moment of death. The merits of the Saints are the gift of God's rewards to those persons who responded to His Grace that they obtained during life, and so Our Lady indicates that She will provide a share of that to us at death. With this promise and #7 above, Our Lady is providing the means for the person to have a very holy death.

9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
Should one require Purgatorial cleansing after death, Our Lady will make a special effort to obtain our release from Purgatory through Her intercession as Advocate.

10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of Glory in Heaven.
This promise is a logical consequence of promises #3 and #4 since anyone who truly lives a holier life on earth will obtain a higher place in Heaven. The closer one is to God while living on earth, the close that person is to Him also in Heaven. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states "Spiritual progress tends toward ever more union with Christ." (Catechism of the Catholic Church paragraph 2014)

11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by recitation of the Rosary.
This promise emphasizes Our Lady's role as our Advocate and Mediatrix of all Graces. Of course, all requests are subject to God's Most Perfect Will. God will always grant our request if it is beneficial for our soul, and Our Lady will only intercede for us when our request is good for our salvation. (see Lumen Gentium chapter VIII - Our Lady #62)

12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
If one promotes the praying of the Rosary, Our Lady emphasizes Her Maternal care for us by obtaining many Graces (i.e. spiritual necessities) and also material necessities (neither excess nor luxury), all subject to the Will of God of course.

13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.
Since Our Lady is our Advocate, She brings us additional assistance during our life and at our death from all the saints in Heaven (the Communion of Saints). See paragraphs 954 through 959 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

14. All who recite the Rosary are my Sons, and brothers of my Only Son Jesus Christ.
Since the Rosary is a most excellent prayer focused on Jesus and His Life and activities in salvation history, it brings us closer to Our Lord and Our Lady. Doctrinally, Our Lady is our Mother and Jesus is our Eldest Brother, besides being our God. (see Lumen Gentium chapter VIII - Our Lady #62)

15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Predestination in this context means that, by the sign which is present to a person from the action of devoutly praying the Rosary, God has pre-ordained your salvation. Absolute certainty of salvation can only be truly known if God reveals it to a person because, although we are given sufficient Grace during life, our salvation depends upon our response to said Grace. (See Summa Theologica, Question 23 for a detailed theological explanation). Said another way, if God has guaranteed a person's salvation but has not revealed it to Him, God would want that person to pray the Rosary because of all the benefits and Graces obtained. Therefore the person gets a hint by devotion to the Rosary. This is not to say that praying the Rosary guarantees salvation - by no means. In looking at promises #3 and #4 above, praying the Rosary helps one to live a holy life, which is itself a great sign that a soul is on the road to salvation. (See also paragraphs 381, 488, 600, 2782 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.) In fact, St. Louis de Montfort says even more strongly that "an infallible and unmistakable sign by which we can distinguish a heretic, a man of false doctrine, an enemy of God, from one of God's true friends is that the hardened sinner and heretic show nothing but contempt and indifference to Our Lady..." [True Devotion to Mary, #30]

Reminder: these promises mean that, by faithfully and devoutly praying the Rosary, Our Lady will obtain for us the necessary Graces to obtain said promises. It is still up to each individual soul to respond to those Graces in order to obtain salvation.

The Catholic Defender: Saved by Holy Week

One thing that I have learned since the time of the "priest scandal" is there is more than a willingness to believe the worst: those who hate the Church jump on the band wagon at the first glance of something possibly wrong.

It was early Spring 2007 during a 15 month deployment to Iraq. I was participating in bible studies at the Battalion level at Warrior Chapel as well as at the Division Chapel.

Our Battalion Chaplain defended our bible study for Catholic Soldiers as the Division Chaplain had issues with a Catholic Bible study. Our Catholic Priest was a Division asset and supported us at Warrior Chapel. We had good Catholic coverage for those who stayed on Camp Liberty.

It wasn't that good for those who were out in the JSS setting as they never saw a Priest for Catholic coverage.

I began developing the "Rosary Patrol" as we would get together everyday at noon to pray for those going outside the wire, for families separated due to the deployment.

Also we were leading the RCIA program for the Division Element so I worked very closely with the Catholic Priest. Three of those pictured here were converts there in Iraq!

The first week in April 2007 was Holy Week. 7 April happened to be on a Tuesday which would be very important as this story unfolds.

The Division Chaplain didn't have much love for the Catholic Priest serving at Division. At first, I don't think he had much care for me either as he wanted to shut down our Catholic Prayer and bible studies.

My Battalion Chaplain stood up for us so we kept up our support of the Catholic community. Our Bible studies continued to grow, the Rosary Patrol continued to grow and Father wanted me to lead RCIA at both locations for the Easter Vigil.

I had something like 70 Soldiers preparing for conversion to the Catholic Faith.

Some of them were former Catholics who had not been there for 26 years, 20 years, 15 years, 10 years, 5 years, and even 1 year.

What a blessing it was to help these Soldiers return back to the Catholic Faith. All of these things taking place kept me busy when I was not serving as the Medical Platoon Sergeant covering the 2-5 CAV. I would have people coming to my unit wanting to talk at 24:00 (Midnight), 02:00 in the morning. I would walk 200 miles for the purpose of covering these obligations for the Church.

I would carry my M-4 in one hand and my bible in the other. I usually carried my computer bag if I had a presentation I wanted to show.

I used the Steve Ray series, "The Footprints of God" because people loved them. With all the success we were experiencing, something happened that tried to put a stop to it all. It appears that the Chaplain's Assistant had an issue with the Catholic Priest.

I knew him but he never communicated the issue that he had with Father. Finally, the accusations began to come forward and the evidence found by the Division Command.

Father was being accused of looking at pornography on a Military computer. The Division took the computer and the professionals were positive that Father had been the one who was doing this. A date was set to dismiss Father, to demote him with a trial.

The following are posts I placed on Defenders of the Catholic Faith (DCF) (The Catholic Defender in Kuwait/Iraq) found in the Archives:

On 27 September, 2007 I wrote this on DCL:

I need you all to pray for me tomorrow (the Catholic Defender) as I have become a star witness in defense of one of our Catholic Priests in a court proceeding. The Defense wants to use me as the main defense. This should be interesting as I maintain he is innocent and can prove it. Still, pray for us as you know how the media would foam at the mouth with a new juicey story about a Catholic Priest. Well, this is one the Catholic Defender can truly help. All you out there, please join the Rosary Patrol in this mission!

I wrote this on 28 September 2007:

Just a note about the hearing today, there were several who spoke out against him today. It was really sad as they almost made Father cry, he wanted to. I gave him a rosary book to hold on to as he endured the tough part of the day. The Catholic Defender was the last to testify and I think I did well for him. I hope to know more tomorrow, but I think he will do alright. It kind of reminded me of how many brought up trumped up charges against the Lord. I'm glad I was there for him today.

I wrote this later the same day:

I think we did well, we will have to see! I believe Father is innocent! It was something else to have been placed in this situation where I was the lone defense witness there to counter all that heavy brass the Prosecution brought in. I mean there were Colonels, Majors, and other high ranking officials. I, on the other hand, am your loveable Catholic Defender marching in to help our Priest. Lot's of fun imagining it!!! I do think and pray he will do well from it!

I wrote this on 29 September:

I have some awesome news to report!!! The board yesturday cleared Father of all wrong doing and his Ministry is perfectly intact! What a blessing this has become! My testimony turned out to be very important for his defense. I am so happy that this was the ruling! There were high brass going against him putting all kinds of garbage on him. I don't know all the details, but I'm informed my support was taken very highly by the board. God is so good and sometimes the good guys win!!!

I wrote this on 30 September:

I have to tell ya, his Mass today had alot more enthusiasum and punch!!! Alot of weight was taken off his shoulders. Thank you all for your prayers and support in this matter! I can tell that he was relieved today and well rested. He will be back with us on Tuesday for the rosary and evening bible study. I'm glad this situation is behind us! Yes, the angels are rejoicing tonight!!!

It turned out that the Prosecution rested their case upon a charge of 120 plus porn pictures loaded on his Military computer on 7 April 2007.

It was at 19:00 that the images were down loaded. This was during Holy Week and Father was at Warrior Chapel hearing confessions at 18:45 getting ready for Mass at 19:00 hours at Warrior Chapel. Father's computer was at the Division Chapel and from there it took 15 minutes to walk from point A to point B.

There was no way Father could have been the one to down load those pictures.

It was a set up job, or it was the Chaplain's Assistant who was interestingly abrumptly moved following the events of late September.

Father to this day enjoys celebrating Mass for Soldiers!

The Division Chaplain following this event began to talk with me as he would drink coffee at the dining hall.

He was on his way to "Crossing the Tiber"!

The Catholic Defender: The Alamo revisited

The Alamo was built by Padre Alaverous (Franciscans) as a Catholic Mission in the year 1718.

The Mission was a typical example of a monastery and church enclosed by high walls. San Antonio de Valero was the original name for the Alamo which stood for the cottonwood trees surrounding the Mission.

The Alamo ceased to function as a church institution in 1793. When the Texans revolted from the weak Mexican Garrisons in 1835, the Commander in Chief, Sam Houston ordered a concentration on the theory that the Mexicans would return.

Houston appointed LTC William B. Travis in Command of 25 enlisted troops who arrived at the Alamo on February 3, 1836. 10 days later Jim Bowie and his volunteers arrived. Discard quickly developed between the two Commanders over disciplinary reasons.

Travis felt that Bowie's volunteers should be marching with his regulars, the two were hardly healed when the Mexican forces began to arrive on the scene. Davy Crockett and his men would enter the Alamo on February 23, 1836.

For 13 days the defenders of the Alamo, numbering probably 188, withstood an army 30 to 1. LTC Travis sent a plea for help through a Currier:

To the people of Texas and all Americans in the world, Fellow citizens and compatriots, I am besieged by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna - I have sustained a continual bombardment and cannonade for twenty four hours and have not lost a man. The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise the Garrison are to be put to the torch, if the fort is taken. I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, and our flag still waves proudly from the walls. I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of liberty, of patriotism and everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid with all dispatch- the enemy is receiving reinforcements daily and will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible and die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor and that of his country. The letter was signed in Victory or death .

The Alamo was large enough to man 1,000 Soldiers, yet they numbered 188 on a good day. Day after day, Santa Anna attacked the Alamo as Mexican troops continued to arrive. It is estimated that there were nearly 7,000 Soldiers that besieged the Alamo.

Finally, on March 6, Santa Anna stormed the Alamo on all 4 fronts. The north wall was breached allowing the Mexicans to pour into the mission compound. The defenders fought valiantly throughout the compound drawing knives and using their rifles as clubs. The last point taken was the church. Davy Crockett and six of his men were still fighting as they were surrounded. They were executed by order of Santa Anna.

I have always loved to watch the Fess Parker Movie of Davy Crockett, "King of the Wild Frontier", John Wayne's "The Alamo" (1960) and in 2004, "The Alamo" Staring Billy Bob Thornton. I've been to the site on a number of occasions.

During the Summer of 2006, I was in San Antonio meeting with some of the Catholics that I had met with who were part of the Defenders of the Catholic Faith (DCL).

This is a Message Board sponsored by Steve Ray, author of "Upon This Rock" and "Crossing The Tiber". Recently, he is known for his work on the "Footprints of God" series which is an excellent DVD collection of Moses, David, Jesus, Mary, Peter, Paul, and the Early Church Fathers.

We took the tour of the Alamo and was about to take some pictures when a man began preaching in front of the Alamo.

He caught my attention as he began speaking against the Catholic Faith. As the crowd began to assemble, I went through the crowd as I listened to him talk.

I would ask someone what religion they were and a number of them responded back, "Catholic". I did find a couple of people who was with this preacher as he continued on with his story. I began to confront him when he said something contrary to what the Church believes.

He would claim that Catholics worship Mary. I moved up to him saying this was not true. He then proceeded to tell people that Catholics worshiped the Pope. I again responded that this was not true. He then claimed that Catholics worshiped statues.

I again denied his claim and began to explain the truth of the subjects as the crowd began to cheer for me. At this, the man took off and was not seen from again!

What a blessing it was to be able to give deepertruth of what the Catholic Church taught. What a blessing this was to be able to give a defense for the Catholic Faith right there at the Alamo.

As a side note, while stationed in Iraq in 2009, I was at Sadr City just not far from Baghdad.

We were defending JSS positions which concrete barriers separated us from the Iraqi population.

In Sadr City, there was a zone that Americans did not cross. In the Spring of 2009, there had been planned a million man march that was suppose to go near our JSS.

The concern for violence was great as we were placed on total alert. Images of the Alamo was on my mind.

Fortunately, on that particular day, it rained real good and the crowd was much smaller than anticipated. Praise the Lord!

The Catholic Defender: Warrior of Light

Warrior of Light, Genesis 3:15 reveals your promised coming, ("I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He (she, they) will strike at your head, while you (the devil) strike at his heel"), it is the first prophecy that announces your coming.

Warrior of Light, your strong arm reveals your mighty power throughout the Old Testament Covenants.

You were there at the flood saving Noah and his family;

You called Abraham establishing a people set aside to follow your law.

You were there when the Israelites quarrled against you in the desert at Rephidim, showing your compassion through the "Rock" that gave them water.

Through you, Warrior of Light, you pour out life giving water as you are the "Rock" of our salvation. It was at Rephidim you showed your victory through the raised arms of Moses.

Through Aaron and Hur, you revealed the importance of prayer, support, and team work to trust your wonderous power.

Warrior of Light, you were present through the Judges, the Prophets, and the Kings.

Warrior of Light, time after time you demonstrate your mercy and forgiveness turning away your wrath and anger. Warrior of Light, you were sent to heal the broken hearted, to release the captives and sent them free.

Through the power of your outstrectched arms you humbled yourself, "becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross".

Warrior of Light, becasue of your death you won victory over the power of death: "Death is swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting"?

Jesus, you are the Warrior of Light, you destoryed the power of darkness as you reveal the light that is you.

Lord, grant your Church, the foundation you established upon the Apostles and Prophets, to be that light that reflects you in our lives, to be that city set on a mountain.

You call us to be the salt of the earth. Help us not to lose that taste, that seasoning that is good for every good thing.

Warrior of Light, enkindle in our hearts a fire to serve you with all our hearts, minds, and strength. Thank you Lord for your great Sacraments and your presence among us through them. Help us to see through the eyes of faith. That your glory is not a thing of the past, but ever present through your holy Catholic Church.

The Catholic Defender: Shake The Nation

Election night I was glued to the Television watching from the beginning to the end the results of all the races.

Most of it was a great surprise as the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, won major Governor races, and added some Senatorial races.

The following is a letter from Deacon Jim Reynolds of St. Anns Catholic Church from Independence Missouri. I think I might of been there as a child so many years ago:

To Whom it may concern,

I come to you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. What a joy to recommend to my brothers and sisters in Christ, Dr. Gregory Thompson and his ministry, "America ASLEEP KNOW MORE" and the conferences "Shake The Nation". Like Catholic teaching from the days of Christ we have understood the importance of "Bearing witness to the Truth", and equally important to wake up as individual Christian's.

Father Corapi says it very well, "Every Christian, faithful to the Gospel, has the moral obligation to bear witness to the truth. In season and out of season, convenient or inconvenient, accepted or rejected. This mandate is nothing new, of course, it's as old as the Old Testament, and as new as the New Testament. Nonetheless, I'm afraid that it has become more necessary than ever to remind ourselves of it."

Like the Sons of Ishachar, Dr. Thompson brought in three others with him, that not only gave an understanding of the times, but a much needed call to awaken in these times we live in, to pray for God's will, and then like Jesus to take action and accept our Cross, for the souls of our neighbors and the children.

Pope John Paul II said, "In order to make this "encounter" with Christ possible, God willed His Church. Indeed, the Church "wishes to serve this single end: that each person may be able to find Christ, in order that Christ may walk with each person the path of life."

Through the mercy and grace of God, may these men bring a message of challenge, warning, and hope to those that understand that evil is indeed triumphing because many good people do nothing about the weightier issues of the day. Jesus is looking for hearts that want to serve HIM, and this Shake The Nation I believe is a spark to help engage the children of Christ. Everyone will learn something, and be encouraged.

God's love and peace to those that hear HIS voice,

Deacon Jim Reynolds

As an American people, this past November 2 Election Day was very important and profound. So many voted to have an impact for America. So many campaigns, the Tea Party, the Constitutionist, the Christians, many people of good will voted to make a change for America to bring us back to the greatness of the principles of what made our Country great.

We are a work in progress and we have a long way to go to ensure that our liberties and freedoms are maintained. There are those who have pushed for a European Socialistic political solution to our problems.

This has failed us to a 13 trillion dollar debt, the loss of jobs, the loss of the social fabric, and the uncertainty of basic security.

Think about it? Our current administration sued Arizona for enacting laws that our Government refuses to enforce for the protection of our citizens. Our Government does not defend the right of voters when Black Panthers use their methods to intimidate at Philidelphia voting blocks. Our Government does not defend the right of the most defenseless among us, the unborn child.

I concur with Deacon Jim, Dr. Gregory Thompson and his merry band of patriots have America in their best interest. They want to give God the glory and rest on the foundations of our Constitution. May their spirit grow into a movement that captivates and taps into that soul that desperately needs to be refreshed and vitalized. That Catholics and Protestants can work together for the common good.

May this Election Day victories lead to American restoration. May God be honored and respected and His name be praised that our land will receive forgiveness and healing. God Bless America!

The Catholic Defender: The Divine Altar Call

Have you ever heard of the "Altar Call" associated with going up to the front of a church to accept Christ?

I was just thinking about this and I couldn't help but think that the Catholic Church practices an "Altar Call" every Mass!

For Catholics, this act is not a one time experience, but a way of life. I remember making my first Holy Communion in 1963 at Blue Springs Missouri St. John La Lande Catholic School.

I remember Father Miller, our Pastor of the School. I remember serving Mass as an Altar boy those early years there for him. What a heritage!

Mom, Dad, there are not many better foundations you can give your children. I really do treasure this gift. When I was in College, our Basketball Coach shared with me that when he grew up, what he treasured the most growing up was his family getting together praying the rosary. Mother Mary leads people to her divine Son!

I also remember carrying my Children to the Altar when they were but infants. They too would be brought up in the Catholic Faith given this great wonderous foundation. When you take a look at the Catholic "Altar Call", it gets deep very quick! It is based on a "New and everlasting Covenant"! It becomes the means to renew this Covenant with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

"Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them. We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. The bodies of the animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuary as a sin offering are burned outside the camp. Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, to consecrate the people by his own blood. Let us then go to him outside the camp bearing the reproach that he bore. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come" (Hebrews 13:9-14).

Our Altar call is "outside the gate" as we follow Christ outside the gate. The sacrifice we share is more than the blood of animals given as a sin offering for God's people.

We have the Bread of life that is offered for us once and for all through a perpetual sacrifice.

St. John writes, "There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, 'It is finished".

What was finished? The perpetual passover is transformed into a "New Covenant"! As the hyssop branch was used to mark blood from spotless lambs on the houses of the Isrealites, the hyssop branch was used to mark the blood of the new and everlasting covenant by the spotless Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. "Happy are they who are called to his supper".

As the Passover feast was made a "memorial feast" for the Israelites, the Last Supper established the transformation that by receiving the "Lamb" we are made whole.

St. Paul states, "Therefore, my beloved, avoid idolatry. I am speaking as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I am saying. The cup of blessing that we bless, is is not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf" (1 Corinthians 10:14-17).

The Lord speaking through the Prophet Jeremiah (Jer 31:31-34) said, "The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers the day I took them by the hand to lead them forth from the land of Egypt; for they broke my covenant and I had to show myself their master, says the Lord. But this covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will place my law within them, and write it upon their hearts; I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No longer will they need to teach their friends and kinsmen how to know the Lord. All, from least to greatest, shall know me, says the Lord, for I will forgive their evildoing and remember their sin no more".

Luke 22:20 Jesus fulfills this prophecy as Jesus says, "And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you".

Matthew 26:28 also adds, "Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins".

Jesus is definitely connecting with Jeremiah's prophecy, that God will "remember their sin no more". Jesus initiates the covenant giving us the opportunity to renew this covenant with him. This is why the Mass is so important.

Every Mass we are invited by the Lord through His Church to come forward and receive Jesus in the Eucharist.

He is present body, blood, soul, and divinity totally and completely. He offers himself to the Father on our behalf so that after receiving him, the Father sees Jesus in us.

We are adopted Son's and Daughter's of God. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me" (Rev 3:20). Jesus said, "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day" (John 6:54). What a promise, what an "Altar Call"!

The Catholic Defender Introduces Dr. Gregory Thompson

Every now and then, you get the chance to meet someone who is very special in their love for the Lord, their desire to follow God's will in their life.

I want to introduce to our audience Dr. Gregory Thompson. He has previously been featured on our radio show.

I encourage you to check out this two part show that discusses his involvement at Notre Dame.

He also gives his testimony of his return back to the Catholic Faith.

Dr. Thompson continues to have a national presence speaking before many groups on behalf of the unborn child. The following article comes from Dr. Thompson:

Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go".

No matter who wins the November, if we do not turn back to Jesus, and with honor and glory to the King of Kings, stop murdering the babies, and stop thinking we are smarter than God as we do what is right in our own eyes, know that our nation will continue to deteriorate into a moral cesspool that will continue to murder children and worse.

God is sovereign, so we have to hope, and it is only because of HIS love and mercy for us that we have an opportunity to turn things around. So we need to put on our Breastplate, and prepare for war, with a perseverance that will never Retreat. Those of you that HE has put into my path, have many different gifts, and your love, prayers, and support are what brings our work for lives and souls into the streets. Because each of you know and love Jesus, you understand the beauty of that special gift, and as it says in Luke 12:48, "For everyone to whom is given, from him much will be required". With that knowledge, I pray that all of our efforts to bring souls to HIM, and save His children physically, mentally, and spiritually will increase because of our hearts and our efforts to serve Jesus. I love and pray for each of you daily, in the name of the Son of God.

Now, how do we prepare for the war ahead? We must start by asking for God's wisdom, and if you have not repented and done that yet, then get to it, NOW. With that wisdom will come knowledge and understanding, which you will need for discernment and preparation. Now, like Gideon's 300 that were hand picked by God, we must be ever vigilant and prepared to fight the enemy at any moment. We must put on the armor of God every day, and wear it all day long, or we leave ourselves and our family defenseless. With our Shield of Faith, we must carry our Sword, the Bible. Study God's Word to show yourself approved to God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15, humble ourselves and pray, seek HIS face, and turn from our wicked ways. Are you Ready?

Why am I telling you these things, because some people in our land are preparing to go back to sleep, thinking that if the Republicans win in November, that we don't have anything to worry about. I know that you know this, but we keep going backwards at different paces, but continually backwards and downward, and it is no accident. Satan uses people in both parties as his dupes, and he never sleeps. Stay awake, fight, and contend for the faith, and in doing so, good things will happen, and your God will smile.

Pray daily, for the Lord to protect the children's souls, and for the workers to stay in His will, and that Jesus will expand the word across this land for His honor and glory. Prayer is our most effective tool and weapon to bring change in this world, as it will bring the power of the Holy Spirit and will do more in a week than what can happen through men in government or education in years and years of work.

If you do not do everything you can do in your area of influence there will be people that go to hell. Your God says, "I think...thought of peace, and not affliction" (Jeremiah 29:11). And, "For I desire not the death of a sinner, saith the Lord God, but that he be converted and live" Ezekiel 18:32). Also, we have heard God speak in Psalms 102:17, "The mercy of the Lord is from eternity and unto eternity upon them that fear HIM". In other words, God did not create anyone to go to Hell, but it is His will and His tender mercy that everyone be saved and spend an eternity of joy with Him and all the angels and saints.

If your heart is for Jesus, and you open the door to Him, He says he will come in and sup with you, so be at peace if your heart hungers after Jesus. He is your hope, and tells you not to be afraid, that He has not given you a spirit of fear. Please continue your love, prayers and support of the service for Jesus to bring souls to Him. But when you can do more personally in your area of influence, please, please do it. Because there are so many that don't know to even ask the question, "Just what is it, therefore, that we have to do to save our souls"? Think about it, that is the ultimate question of life, for if we fail to save our souls and attain Heaven, what will life have been worth? I know I would not want the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 26:24 to apply to me, "It were better for him if that man had not been born".

Pray with fervent prayer, because we will be in churches, revivals (Missions), schools, in the weeks to come, and pray for those that indicated they would do a "Shake The Nation" after the first of the year. Pray a special prayer each day, that when we go to the Secretary of State, and legislators after November 2, election that our petitions and ballot issues will be accepted, and that God will work through our efforts to find a true man/woman of God in the legislature that is willing to help us with an act of interposition for the sanctity of all human life (persons) from their biological beginning (conception) to natural death. Know that Satan will hate for this and throw everything at us, and so we need many prayer warriors, that the people and resources are put before us to do His will in this battle.

Please also pray for Missy Smith in Washington D.C. running for congress, she went to jail with me in Notre Dame a couple of times, and she is showing abortion pictures as part of her campaign, openly on the TV airwaves, with a good message for the honor and glory of God. Support her if you can in the time remaining, as she is a servant warrior for Jesus.

Catholic Voters Get Guidance From Rome

Cardinal-designate Raymond Burke in exclusive new interview, “There is a discrimination which is perfectly good and just”

San Diego, October 27, 2010 – As Americans approach the eve of election week, U.S. Cardinal-designate Raymond Burke is reminding Catholics in an exclusive 25-minute video interview that they are bound in conscience to vote for political candidates who oppose aborting babies, embryonic stem cell experiments, euthanasia and so-called homosexual "marriage."

“Millions of Catholics have no idea it’s a sin to vote for candidates who favor these grave evils, which attack the very foundations of society,” said Thomas McKenna, President of Catholic Action for Faith and Family. "This matter-of-fact, pointed interview granted to me by Archbishop Raymond Burke in Rome last week makes it very clear what the responsibility of every American Catholic will be next Tuesday."

In recent years Archbishop Burke, who is prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, the Church’s “supreme court,” has taught repeatedly that Catholic politicians who support abortion rights may not receive Holy Communion and that Catholics who know of the politicians’ voting record on these issues cannot vote for them and retain “a clear conscience.”

McKenna interviewed Archbishop Burke in Rome on Oct. 20 literally hours after it was announced he would be elevated to Cardinal. The 25-minute interview is being released to help inform Catholic voters before the U.S. elections on Nov. 2nd. Some of the points the Archbishop makes are:

“As a bishop it’s my obligation in fact, to urge the faithful to carry out their civic duty in accord with their Catholic faith.”

“You can never vote for someone who favors absolutely the right to choice of a woman to destroy a human life in her womb or the right to a procured abortion.”

“So, the Catholic Church in teaching that sexual acts between persons of the same sex are intrinsically evil, are against nature itself, is simply announcing the truth, helping people to discriminate right from wrong in terms of their own activities.”

Today, McKenna’s CatholicAction.org will launch two five-minute video on YouTube, and a 25-minute Q&A video interview that is available for broadcast. The three videos all feature Archbishop Burke teaching Catholics about voter responsibility, including key points from his pastoral letter, "On Our Civic Responsibility for the Common Good." The interview can be seen at CatholicAction.org.

The Catholic Defender checks out the Tea Party Express

Yesterday, I was at the 58th street Chapel on Fort Hood looking for the Catholic Coordinator when I picked up a copy of "Our Sunday Visitor" that caught my eye.

It was dated Oct 17, 2010 so it was recent. On the cover of the issue it questions the "Tea Party Movement: How Catholic is it"?

It refers to an earlier poll conducted by McLaughlin and Associates for the National Review Institute.

This is suppose to have been a Catholic view to the Tea Party Movement showing 59% of those polled felt the Tea Party was "driven by legitimate concern over the U.S. economy's future", 21% felt the movement was "driven by failure". What surprised me from this poll was that only 8% would vote for a congressional candidate represented by the Tea Party?

If you count those who vote for the Republican party that would be another 28% for about 36% combined. 28% was solidly behind the Democrats and 36% were undecided.

As a Catholic, it appears we are all over the map? Just toss a dart and there you have it? As I thought about this for a few minutes, I couldn't help thinking about what this all means.

I have to ask: "How Catholic is the Democratic Party"?

How many Catholics are supporting Chris Coons from Delaware over Tea Party's O'Donnell?

Mr. Coons represents the high tax and spend policy of the present administration. He also does not understand the Constitution as evident through the debates with Ms. O'Donnell. Mr. Coons is one of the most devout liberals as he was refereed by Senator Harry Reid of Nevada to be "his pet"?

He is an ardent pro-abortionist, supporter of Gay rights, supporter of the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, just looking at this Mr. Coons will be a rubber stamp of the Obama machine?

I would be able to say the same thing about any of the races out there across America. The powerful Unions have always been solidly behind the Democratic Party.

In the 1940's that might have been important for the common worker, but today, they do not have the same dedication. The Unions are not exactly looking out for Christian causes?

I think some people confuse Gay rights with a false sense of compassion for the gay individual. Love and compassion does not equal toleration and acceptance.

Today, there are Judges legislating from the bench wanting to over turn "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", the Military should not be a ground for social engineering?

The Military has always had rules that prevented people from entering the Army. Those who are to fat and out of shape, those who are underweight, those who have AIDS and other health conditions, those who are too short, those who are too tall, and those who have had sexual relations with the same sex.

I believe many Christians will not join the Military if the Gays are allowed to be open among them. Practicing Christians cannot co-exist with practicing homosexuals. There will be friction no matter what you do. If you call active homosexual unions and lifestyles as sinful, that could be targeted by "Equal Opportunity", this would definitely have friction with Christians who are in the Military. This is also putting Chaplains in a delicate situation.

The Gay Activists have already approached the Military Chaplaincy telling them they will have to modify what they preach from the pulpit? Does that concern you? It does me!

I compare this with the spiritual blindness in England when the Catholic Bishops caved in to King Henry VIII and abandoned the Catholic Faith.

Abortion is another problem, I served as the Medical NCOIC of the MEPS in New Orleans. I was in charge of all the physicals conducted there.

If a female applicant was found to be pregnant, they were not allowed to join the Military (another disqualifier), that same applicant many times would be back a few months later after they aborted their child. That would always break my heart.

From our position, we could never comment on it. It is these very issues that make me question, "How Catholic is the Democratic Party"?

This November election will be closely watched, I can't help follow the daily polls on FOX News. I guess that would tell you I am conservative, but in reality, Fox does a great job providing both sides of the issue. The drive by media is about 70% liberal or higher. I would not be able to listen to that for very long.
Back to the original question, "How Catholic is the Tea Party"? It is a conservative wave that I hope brings in a needed breath of fresh air. Most of the Tea Party candidates are strongly pro-life, supportive of traditional marriage and family life. Smaller Government and less taxes. They want to save Social Security.

To bring back common sense to American Politics and put a stop to Obama's health care law.

Talk about a back room deal? What happened to the so-called "pro-life" blue dog Democrats who were suppose to hold out against the health care bill because of abortion?

That was a ruse deceiving the American people. Obama and the liberal agenda wants to ensure that abortion is covered in this bill so they would get our Federal tax dollars to support it. Catholic Hospitals would be forced to conduct abortions, Catholic professional medical personnel would be forced to participate in abortions.

That is how far they want to go with this. Catholics should vote against this in droves. The ultimate question finally becomes, "How Catholic are American Catholics"?

*BEST OF DTB #35* The Catholic Defender: The Anointing of the Sick

While stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky, I use to go to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Oak Grove just outside of the Military post.
I was very involved with the Parish through the Knights of Columbus, the RCIA, the Youth Group, CCD, Bible Studies, I even would take my 53 inch TV to present good Catholic programs after the Saturday Mass.
Without a doubt, one of the greatest honors I was given by Father David (Who had left but is now back), the opportunity to go with him when he would go on a call to administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
Because I was in the medical field, he liked having me along with him. In the ancient world, oil was used for medication. Through Father's Ministry, the Lord worked miracles of healing.
I first remember this great Sacrament offered to my Mother when I was in college. My Mother in the latter 1960's was hit by a car broad side as it went through a red light.
My Mother had her back broke in a number of places and for about a year I had to live with relatives while Mom recuperated. For years my Mother suffered from severe headaches, spinal taps, and loss of mobility.
I remember Mom would be in her garden moving from one plant to the next kind of scooting along making her way. She could barely walk. One day at Mass Father invited anyone who had been sick to come up for this great Sacrament.
Mom went up along with about 12 other people and when Father came to her, she later explained she felt a warming sensation that went throughout her body. From that time on, Mom was able to move around at a much greater mobility and she never complained again of the headaches.
That was the first time I was exposed to something that God sometimes does to intervene in the life of His people.
James 5:13-15 states, "Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the Church, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven".
This certainly gives greater light to Mark 6:13 which says, "They (the Apostles) drove out many demons and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them".
James is recognizing the presbyter as a true agent of God in the Ministry of the 12 Apostles. That is the connection between St. James and Mark's context. Father David (and all Catholic Priests) whom I served holds the same Apostolic Ministry.

This Sacrament is the true extension of the Lord's healing hand. Jesus is working within His Ministry.
I have long seen this scripture as important to Catholic teaching the need of the priesthood. It is quite noticeable that a presbyter is called upon to offer this great Sacrament.
Hence, the dreaded middle man some of my Protestant friends would reject? Also, through the action of the Priest, the person's sins are forgiven, just as in the Sacrament of Confession. What a great blessing we have in this great Sacrament.
My Mother was able to do far more in her 50's than she ever was in her 40's. When I lived in Harrison Arkansas in the early 1980's, the Catholic Priest of the Parish there told me of the time he was just ordained a priest serving in northern Arkansas in a mission territory.
He was instructing an elderly lady who was coming to him learning about the Catholic Faith. One night he receives a call from a daughter of this lady who asked for him to see her Mother.
She had been in a coma for five days, had not eaten anything or had anything to drink. When Father arrived, he administered Baptism to the Lady and then administered the Sacrament of the Anointing of the sick.
Just as he completed the task the lady opened her eyes and sat up saying "Thank God thank you Father"!
This totally surprised him as well as the family. Helping Father David at St. Michael's only reinforced my beliefs. I would see this great Sacrament offered for both my Mother and also my wife. In our time, this Sacrament is being offered for those who are not only dying or very sick, but also for those preparing for a major surgery.
From the "Fish Eaters":
The blessing of oils is performed by the Bishop of each diocese on Holy Thursday (Holy Week) in the Cathedral during the Chrism Mass. The oils are maintained in either metal or glass bottles called "Chrismatories". These vessals are then stored in a cabinet called an "Anby" which is usually fixed to the wall of the sanctuary. Priests also have a portable "oilstock" which has a section for each of the three holy oils.

*BEST OF DTB #34* The Catholic Defender goes on the offense against Pornography

It was August 22, 1984, I was rather anxious about this particular evening. The past year I was part of a Charter member of Council No 8410 (Harrison Arkansas), the Grand Knight was a good friend of mine, Walter Israel.
This evening was specific to me because I was being honored as "Knight of the Year" by the Council.
I was a committee chairman who was responsible for a number of volunteer work: orchestrating prolife events, conducting presentations on contemporary music, fighting pornography, fund raising, putting together the local bulletin, established a church softball team, organizing Christian music concerts for our youth, and several other tasks for the Council.
Looking back, I can see where the experience helped shape me from being an energetic young college guy to being a community organizer, a leader representing the Church. The fight against pornography was one that was very rewarding to me because of the impact we had for the community.
At this time, pornography was working itself into the minute marts, the video stores, and ordinary outlets. I was able to get a number of these x-rated videos from such outlets and through the (then)Prosecuting Attorney, Gorden Webb.
We were successful in getting the pornography out of these stores. I would have women showing up to my door with pornography to give to me to help fight porn. They began finding this porn in their homes after discovering their husbands had been hiding it between the mattresses under their beds. So my name was getting out there in the public eye.
Letters to the editer began showing some discontent with the success we were having. There is no question that pornography plays a vital role in the destruction of the moral foundation of America, the moral decline of America.
Pornography has played a role in attacking marriage causing untold divorce. Romans 1:20-27 states, "Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse; for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened. While claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes. Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts for the mutual degradation of their bodies. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity".
So much of the Scripture speak of the poison that we place in the heart, the obvious results. Ephesians 5:1-5 warns, "So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma. Immorality or impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is fitting among holy ones, no obscenity or silly suggestive talk, which is out of place, but instead, thanksgiving. Be sure of this, that no immoral, or impure or greedy person, that is, an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God".
During the middle 1990's, while stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky, I became involved in a fight against pornography. There was a porn store opening up in the Clarksville community near a park, a school, and a church.
In a 90 day period, I would go stand at the sidewalk arm in arm with several other groups carrying signs saying "Pornography destroys". I stood out there in the rain and heat making a difference in this fight.
I would bring my video camera which really thwarted many who did not want to be pictured in front of this store. The local college, Austin Peay University held a debate about pornography and my video camera became a sore subject of discussion for the pro-porn crowd.
We were able to get passed into legislation that no porn store could open up within 2,000 feet of a park, a school, or a church. "What it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing".
This is a major fight for the soul of America. The past few years we have been conditioned by the media and the liberal outlets i.e. higher places of learning, judicial system, politicians with no backbone, and the destruction of the family contributes to the problem.
We are fast moving to a society that is seeing porn and homosexuality as rights while the Church is being pushed more and more into a corner. If we do not wake up soon, we may find ourselves in a very different America.
St. Paul encourages us writing, "Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says: 'In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you'. Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold now is the day of salvation".
Do not put off for tomorrow what should be done today. We need to strengthen our families, teach our youth the ways of the Lord or else they will fall into an others manipulation with impure motives.
It was an honor to have received this "Knight of the Year" award from among my peers but the fight is far from over. We must work to reverse the gains that the porn industry has made.
Women are enslaved by it, it creates an underworld where people lurk in the darkness destroying untold lives robbing them of their youth. Families are torn apart by human trafficking, this must be stopped and the laws enforced.
