18 of the most Marian verses in all of Scripture

Starting with the last verse of Revelation chapter 11 and ending with the very last verse of chapter 12 are a scant 18 verses of scripture.

Yet, these 18 verses are a treasure trove of Catholic dogma about Mary, proving almost all that our church teaches about her, so much so that anti-Catholics desperately try to spiritualize these verses into referring to Israel. When doing so, they commit the very error they so often accuse us of- ignoring or denying the clear words of scripture.

Revelation 11:19;

19: Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

This heavenly vision teaches us a lesson. At the time of the writing of this book (68 AD), the Ark of the Covenant had been missing for hundreds of years. How was the Ark taken up into heaven? What we are about to learn is that the Old Testament Ark was only a foreshadowing. This Ark held Jesus in the symbolic form (The Torah representing Jesus as the Word, the Staff representing Jesus as the Good Shepherd, the Manna representing Jesus as the Bread of Life).

God shows him this vision as if to say 'Behold the Ark', then He shows who the Ark of the Covenant foreshadows. The true Ark carried the true Jesus. We see this starting with the very next verse of scripture.

Revelation 12:

1: And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

A Woman in Heaven, glorified (clothed with the Sun), with a head and feet (Assumed into heaven soul and body), with a crown (royalty). And, of course this makes sense. Luke 1 tells us that Jesus was given the throne of David. That makes Mary (the Mother of the King) the Queen Mother (1 Kings 15:13, 2 Kings 10:13, 2 Chronicles 15:16). She also was the Ark (Vessel) who bore Jesus who is the New Covenant (Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24) so she (not the Old Testament model) was taken up to Heaven. It has now been proved that Mary is the Ark of the Covenat, is assumed into Heaven and is, by virtue of her Davidic position, the Queen of Heaven.

We have only just begun.

2: she was with child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anguish for delivery.

This proves that pain and anguish can exist in heaven but this does not refer to the physical pain of the physical birth. We will get back to that in a minute.

3: And another portent appeared in heaven; behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns,

4: His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven,
and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child,
 that he might devour her child when she brought it forth;

The Devil (as he will actually be named later is shown as the enemy of the Woman and Her child. This recalls the single oldest Messianic Prophecy in the Bible, Genesis 3:15;

15: I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

5: she brought forth a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,

This recalls Psalm 2, a Messianic Psalm about Jesus and establishes the Woman, unquestionably as Mary and, as such, the Mother of God (Theotokos). Yet another Catholic Marian doctrine proven.

6: and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which to be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

A verse that is absurd if you identify the Woman as Israel. It obviously recalls the flight to Egypt (Matthew 2:13-14)

11: And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of
 their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
12: Rejoice then, O heaven and you that dwell therein! But woe to you, O earth and sea,
for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!"

This war happened before the fall of Eden! This Scripture brings us full circle and shows us that the vision, of the Mother who is the complete enemy of Satan (Kecharitomene, Full of Grace [Luke 1:28]) is the reason for Satan's rebellion. Satan's war is with Her and Her Divine Son. Just read:

13: And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had borne the male child.
14: But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness,

15: The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with the flood.
16: But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river which

This points to the fact that Satan's war is with the Woman's church... MARY's Church. It is THAT Church that Satan wants to destroy. It is Mary who is the daughter Zion brought Jesus to us physically without pain now brings Him to us Spiritually, in great
anguish.
